Three-Slotted Halter Rings
The following pictures show the test 3-Slot halter rings, in both sizes. The top photos show the smaller of the two sizes tested, on a Breyer Stablemate (left) and a resin "Little Lonestar" by Sarah Rose (right).
The remaining photos show the smaller of the two sizes on the left side, and the larger on the right. The molds are in the 1:18 scale range and include a Safari Ltd "Morgan Mare" (in Bay) and the others are various Schleich molds.
While initially I was concerned over the "look" of the largish slots, when lace was added and these were set up, it doesn't seem to be that much of an issue (especially since the photos here are at least 2x or more actual size as would be viewed with the naked eye.) The extra room also would allow for easier threading of material through the slots.
1/16" lace, skived very thin was used for all these samples.

Two-Slotted Halter Rings
The following pictures show the test 2-Slot halter rings, which were only produced in one size (the smallest possible)
As with the above samples, 1/16" lace skived thin was used.
