Sometimes, when you have very small buckles, the little "loop" on the Rio Rondo tongues can be a little large and sloppy. Here's a method to quickly adjust a tongue to fit a little more snugly.
And a buckle tongue.
As shown in the picture.
Using Round-Nose or Rosary pliers, grasp part of the loop, and form it around so it nearly meets up smaller than it started.
Crimp the loop down carefully so it won't come off.
Make a bit of a bend as shown, with round-nose pliers, so the tongue has a bit of a curve to it.
This will produce a very nice and "finished" looking tongue.
Use sandpaper (320 grit, wet-or-dry is recommended) or a fine needle file to "round off" and smooth the cut end of the buckle tongue for a super-nice finished item.
