Baroque Buckles Test
From left to right: 1/8", 1/16" and 3/32".
I need to make a few tweaks to the keepers and beef up the 1/16" so it better matches the other two. Otherwise, these came out as I expected, and are very lovely.
One of the "odd" features of the current baroque-style motifs is that the keepers are as wide as the buckle, unlike other keepers which just account for the lace. Full size keepers actually have the bars set in underneath the top deco portion, but we're not able to do that.
These buckles are fairly roomy... I skived the strap that holds the buckle but not the top straps that feed through.
So... are your iberian horses ready?
